Anthony Stewart (anthonyjstewart) > Winter Shadows (2008)

The failing light creates these incredible shadows thrown onto the ice of Lake Michigan. This winter shot shows the power of the weak sun to produce something extra special at this cold and colorless time of year.
Anthony Stewart (anthonyjstewart) > 1st March 2009: Frozen Summer

This frozen snow covered tennis court hides the promise of summer somewhere under an inch of snow. I love the way this remains floodlit which is completely pointless as it's obvious it's impossible to play. I must by another set and drag myself down to play this spring.

Around the edge of this court is a running track which I used once. It almost killed me. Actually I did enjoy it but I only got twice round and decided I needed to go in. I think I need to replace my 10 year old trainers.
Anthony Stewart (anthonyjstewart) > February 28th 2009: Frozen Sunset

The beginning of sunset over the frozen lake Michigan. I love this shot it's about 4:30pm and sun is way behind us setting to the west. As you can see the sun is hitting all the skyscrapers including mine and is heavily reflected onto the lake. Some of these buildings are 1,000 feet tall.

An hour before this shadow on the lake barely existed. It's kind of interesting to see it creeping across the lake towards the other side making the skyscraper shadows taller and taller. Simply stunning.
