Anthony Stewart (anthonyjstewart) > 7th April 2009: Bridge over the Petrusse Valley

This is a favourite spot on my morning walk with Daisy our dog when we lived in Luxembourg. The bridge is in need of some repairs after bits have fallen off it but it seems to be taking years for any real action to be taken. Consequently a chunk of the park has been off limits for nearly 2 years now which really is unacceptable.

The City Parks in Luxembourg are really gorgeous, as is the city. The national day fireworks also take place off this bridge.
Anthony Stewart (anthonyjstewart) > 29th March 2009: Blackfriars Bridge

The pedestrian bridge in this picture is a post millennium addition which is quite welcome as the old pedway was much smaller and grottier. London is a fantastic walking city but it's soooo big.

Having been a South Londoner all my life, well until I left the UK of course, I know this bridge well. Since I have been away they have added better pedestrian crossings to this bridge which are far more graceful and attractive.

It's nice to be this close to the network south east trains as they rush past taking people to their homes, families, lives and whatever. I have to say the trains have improved a fair bit since I left. Lot of nice new trains, more space and head rests which on a long journey counts for a lot.

Anthony Stewart (anthonyjstewart) > Chicago: Wabash Bridge Raised

This is an HDR shot composed of 5 exposures creating this very interesting effect. HDR Photography stands for High Dynamic Range and allows you to see a huge range of colors and exposures not normally avaiolable in photography.

It's quite rare to catch the bridges up and the bridge office on the right with its green copper roof has created an excellent effect using the HDR method. This picture is 7Mb in size and can be printed quite large.
Anthony Stewart (anthonyjstewart) > 12th March 2009: Raising Bridge HDR

OK so I bought the software and luckily I found a $15 off coupon online which brought the price down to about £50. It really is amazing software although not everyone will like the results. With HDR production you can go extreme or subtle. This example is one I did earlier but pushed to make it look more HDR like.

As I get used to the software I will play around with variations to work out if any of them would be salable. Of course I need to experiment with pre-sharpening and improving the images before they go thru the HDR Process.
Anthony Stewart (anthonyjstewart) > 9th March 2009: HDR City View

This is another HDR shot composed of 5 shots combined to give this effect. I am kind of cheating here as I am on a trial version of this software which has expired. However it still lets you create an HDR but you can't save it. SO I am taking a snap shot of the screen to get used to it. I will probably buy this software but I am still testing it.

I recently bought Photoshop CS4 which also has HDR capabilities so I will need to use/test these before I decide whether or not to buy photomatix.
